This is Chance shown at Griffith Animal Control before he went to rescue. How can someone do that to their dog? He's nothing but ribs! Donations and caring people got him a new home!

Sophie didn't make it out of the pound alive. This is the dog I mention at the beginning of one of my books (I couldn't take her because she wasn't cat friendly and I have cats). She was about two years old when the animal warden took her in and had her euthanized. She spent the last 6-8 months of her life living in a small cage with poor lighting and little to no attention. She tore off her toenails in her boredom of scratching at the cage, begging for someone to let her out and take her for a walk. Born a pit bull terrier she had little to no chance of leaving the pound alive. DON'T BUY A PIT BULL TERRIER FROM A BREEDER!!!! There are thousands of dogs like Sophie out there who will die today, tomorrow, next week, etc. She deserved better than to be a prisoner because her owner never came to find her at the pound.

Happy Tails

Nuthin was the victim of a new marriage. The happy union left this poor guy at the shelter where the animal warden didn't even give him a name. He was posted as an urgent listing and found someone who loves him very much and spoils him rotten. He also got a name! He's now known as Simpson and he has a sister named Daisy, whom he "honks" at to make her play with him. His new owners just announced that they're getting married but this dog has nothing to worry about because he's not going anywhere (aside from maybe down the aisle with his Mama).

He might look like a puppy but this is a senior dog who had a case of bad luck. His former owner, who had raised him from a puppy, decided they didn't want him because he was untrainable. The shelter didn't think anyone would come for him since he's an older dog, but I agreed to take him. He was skinny, matted, covered in fleas, and NOT happy. Once he got cleaned up, he found a new home where he went through not being happy with the change. They stuck with him and he's now a perfect doggie. He can even do tricks, which he never did for me!
